“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding.” Proverbs 3:5 Dating can be a mystery when it just you. Then add the element of being single and a parent can be intimidating when you’re getting back into the dating world.

It’s important that you are ready. Dating this time is not just about your needs, but as a parent, it’s about the needs of your children as well.

“But seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you.” Matthew 6:33

Is God my Center

When you allow God to be the center of your life, your placing your hurt heart in God’s hands which provide all the healing we need. This act of trusting in God allow us to be willing to give love another try even when we aren’t looking for it. God already knows what you’re in need of that’s why he tells us to cast our anxieties on him (1 Peter 5:7)

How to do I prepare to date with my children?

When your dating in Christ: You’re not leaning on your own understanding. You’re allowing God control over your dating life. God is already going to be the “barrier for entry.” Meaning he is not going to let just the old type of men you were used to dating to enter into you or your children’s world. Therefore when you rely on God he will bring you his very best.

“The plans of the heart belong to man, but the answer of the tongue is from the Lord. All the ways of a man are pure in his own eyes, but the Lord weighs the spirit. Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be established.” Proverbs 16:1-3

My plan…God’s Plan…

The Bible say that God takes pleasure in blessing his children with the desires of their heart you only have to ask and he will hear you. (Psalm 20:4) That’s why before you jump back into the dating world with your children you need to make sure you understand God knows your plan to become a wife.

Knowing that God has already ordained your union with the man he created for and the mother he has blessed you to be. Regardless if that man is the biological father of your children. The man that God has planned and planted for you will already be designed to be what he needs to be due to the requirements of God and the needs God see you need filling.

Your potential husband might not know it yet when he first meets you but putting God first in your relationship will open up doors to each of your souls that you didn’t even know could exist.

I have kids date

While dating knows that God is your “barrier to entry.” You don’t have to worry about freezing up about telling any man that God is allowing you to date that you have children.  Just make sure during the date you’re not spending too much time talking about your children.

The purpose of the date is to get to know one another not just your role as a mother. While continuing to go on dates with the man your feel in your heart God has sent you. (Trust me God will let you know.)
