This morning I woke up. Searching for my phone to see who was the newly elected president. I looked on FB and Instagram only to see yesterday I voted early post of ‘I voted with her.’ So I knew from the lack of celebrations that most people’s worst nightmares had been answered.

Watching clips on Google, I realize a few things. People fears of Jim Crow laws were coming back, racism is still ‘WOKE’ in America and being ‘with HER’ only ‘Made America Great again’ for our newly elected President Trump. As I rolled over in bed, my husband woke up only to talk about how lost we as a country we are.

I could hear the disappointment in his voice. How he felt about our future going forward. Together in the dark, we listen to a Van Jones speak about how he had to put his children to bed last night and explain in the morning how bullies can still win in a world where we tell our children bullying never gets you far.

Listening to this statement, I began to think. Trump never suede from the person he is. I’m not one for politics but from where I’m standing I never really understood what Trump’s platform was. Other than to ‘Make America great again’ and to build a wall between America and Mexico. I’m stuck on how this man never explains to us the time that America he felt was so great, and that is the time in the past that we should make our new future.

Instead, Trump uses what he is good at Business, bullying, and playing off the fears people.  Trump set his goals to become president, and he did it by being him. He didn’t conform to what the Republican felt a candidate should be. That’s why he was able to shoot to the top and bypass everyone into the Whitehouse.I’m not saying what Trump was doing was of God, but I’m saying take a page from his book and be yourself.

Being a business man gave Trump an upper advantage because he wasn’t diluted with all the norms of what a politician is and should be. People in America voted for him because he recognizes their fears, their pains, and their truths. He was bold about bullying others. Being rude and disrespect while in the same breath telling the America people that he changed.

Fear is a powerful thing. You can’t have faith and be living in fear. Fear is to Satan as Faith is to God. James 1:2-4 says ‘Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.’ The steadfastness of your faith is what creates the lacking for nothing. Even tho the ballot may have said that Trump is the President doesn’t me we have to fear what is to come. If God is for you, then who can be against you.

I know as many people wake up today there will be a  mixed of emotions. But the best thing now is grabbing hold to your faith. You may have placed your faith in wo(man) last night. Today try something different like all those American’s that voted to make America great again by making a business man a president and try God.

Richard Nixon once said “A man(woman) is not finished when he is defeated. He is finished when he quits.”  Take that miss placed faith from last night and put it in God. ” Opportunity often comes disguised in the form of misfortune, or temporary defeat,” said Napoleon Hill but God who is the Arthur of plans has the finally say so.

I don’t know what life with Trump as President will look like. But I know what life with God does.

John 16:33 “I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.”

You betta bully up your Faith right now because this is not the time to get defeated.
