Taking over Toronto Canada Day 3& Day 4 plus tips

TORONTO Day 3&4

Day 3 Saturday

  1. The Toronto Zoo with our city passes

-Yet another very very cold day. It was so cold you can feel the wind whip across your clothed body and you still needed more than your cold gear on. I never heard Drake rap, sing nothing about it being cold in the 6. That what he needs to talk about, forget the girls. Body heat is what you need to live there.

  1. For Lunch was found the Caribbean area and had such things as jerk chicken, peas, and rice, meat patties etc.… I was in heaven with the spices, plus I was getting warm so that was great.
  2. Distillery Tour

-Here is where we learn some of Toronto alcohol history and how the thing started. How the native stop the water flow by throwing out the trash from their windows and these is how they found out people were getting sick from drinking the water (You think).

-We also had the chance to try 4 different kinds of Canadian ale. (Not for the weak of heart. I think I still left my lungs in Toronto.)

3.  Tab’s BDAY Dinner at Wildfire- Groupon (My husband was in charge of this great find)

  1. This Groupon deal was great. Paying on about $200 for 6 people .
    • In return, you got a glass of either white or red wine.
    • One Starter
    • The Main dish of either NY Steak, Pasta, Chicken, Salmon, Pork tenderloin or Ribs.
    • Dessert.
  2. The serving was like a performance. Everything was on cue. The setting of Wildfire made you feel as if you were spending more than $200 for all the well-cooked food they served us that night

Day 4- Sunday

  1. Breakfast at “Everything Bacon”
    1. And everything was bacon or served with bacon or you could sub for turkey bacon. But it was great.

Since Sunday was a lazy day and everyone wanted to chance to just chill we keep the day chilled but still filled with events.

  1. Ripley’s Aquarium/CNN

Tips:

  • If you’ve not used to walking in the cold plan your trip to Canada in the Summer. The only thing about that is this is high tourist season so plan accordingly. Plus if it’s warm you will not need a car.
  • If you rent a car factored in parking. There is no free parking. We had to pay for parking at the hotel, CNN/Ripley, The Zoo. The only place we didn’t have to pay for parking was some of the places were ate at the outside of Toronto.
  • Do you research! The Toronto city pass saved us a lot of money because it was 7 of us adult for kids under 12 I believe a lot of places let them in for free or for cheap.
  • Would I go back to Toronto or Canada period? Heck yeah, just not in their fake spring which is still winter.
  • Use Trip advisor and look for flights, cars and hotels in an Incognito window which will help with price from being driven up by you because you’ve gone back and forth looking for deals.
  • Do wait to all your final are in order. The truth is that it may never happen or you might look up and your body feels too old to enjoy your trip.
    • Not saying take your rent money and go on a trip either. Just find your balance and enjoy yourself, and family. You work hard and you enjoy to see the world.
  • Set a realistic budget. Use Groupon, coupons and look for deals. If you’re too shy to assign this to a family member that’s not shy to do it and use them. This will save you money to make your vacation feel like you spent millions when you really only spent a few dollars.
  • Above all have fun!

We had a great Family 1st vacation. How do I know my family is still talking about it. Already ready for me to look for our next trip. Which I’m already ready to do… A cruise, Paris, and island. Who knows but God.
