I got Love for LA

I just read a travelling blog about my beloved city: Los Angeles, by Sarah Mould title “City of Angels?—(EYE opener). I know everyone is entitled to their opinion but sometimes it’s not need and it hurts. I’m a true Los Angeles girl- From South Central LA. If I had it my way I would be back living in Los Angeles. I was there during the riots,  the Rodney King beating, the OJ riding in his bronco. For tacos, the good and the bad. I’m down for the pound. To 2Pac, Snoop Dogg Too Short and Kendrick Lamar. To Late nights on Crenshaw.  Most of what I am today was made...

Wait on the Lord Part II

” Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him.” James 1:12  As a child of God, I know how nerve racking it is to want something so bad ( a job, your own business, to get married and start a family etc). When you’re so busy looking at what is happening to other people. With all these social media outlooks, a person can become overwhelmed, consumed, discouraged and depressed about what looks like is happen for other people. Watching and...

Just Me!

2015 has been the beginning of the old me and the start of the new me. I was the girl (and still am) ready to please everyone. To do what I can to make other’s happy. I felt like that was my primary job. Let’s give you a little back ground about myself I’m a proud African-American (Black) woman in my 30s (I mean with this blog we will get close but we don’t have to start today lol). I grew up the oldest of 4 girls and was raised by both parents in South Central Los Angeles. So I’m a true Los Angeleño. I love my street tacos, a...
